Use Delete to remove content from the page. Use Hide/Show, where available, when the content should remain editable but not be displayed in that visibility context.

Delete a section

Select the correct level

In Layers, select the section you intend to remove. Check that it is the whole section, not just an element inside it.

Check what depends on it

Check whether a button scrolls to the section, a Buy Box provides the page’s purchase action, or the section contains a required widget. Update those dependencies before launch.

Use Delete

Open the section’s more-options menu and select Delete. Inspect the resulting page before saving or publishing.
For a supported element selection, Delete applies to that selected element instead. Removing a button is different from removing its entire section.

Hide without deleting

Select the supported section or layer, open its menu, and use Hide. Use Show to make hidden content visible again. Hidden content can still appear in the editor’s layer structure with a visibility indicator. Check the active editing/device context and then inspect both mobile and desktop. Do not assume that hiding something while viewing one device has produced the desired result on the other. Use hiding for deliberate presentation differences, not as a way to protect sensitive information. Content visibility is not an access-control mechanism.

Recover from an accidental edit

Use Undo immediately when the change is part of the current editor history. Do not assume Undo can restore a deleted library item or reverse a change made in another settings screen. If you have already left the session, review the available version history rather than assuming there is an unlimited recycle bin for every object.

Before publishing

Check that the page still has a clear main action and that links, review widgets, mobile layouts, and sticky elements behave correctly after the removal.
