# Connect Jurni to Slack

> Set up the Jurni Slack integration to receive notifications and updates directly in your workspace. Follow the steps to authorize and configure the connection.

Connect Jurni to Slack when you want a Slack workspace to work with your Jurni shop and receive scheduled performance reports.

## Connection and reporting are separate

Connecting Slack does **not** automatically start sending performance reports.

There are two separate steps:

1. Connect the Jurni shop to a Slack workspace from **Settings → Integrations**.
2. Configure Daily or Weekly reports, channels, and schedules from the Slack notification settings.

## Who can manage Slack

Slack management is restricted to users with the required Jurni permissions. If the install or disconnect controls are disabled, ask a Jurni owner/admin or a teammate with messaging-management access to complete the change.

Your Slack workspace may also require an administrator to approve app installation.

## Connect a workspace

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Settings → Integrations">
    Find **Slack** in the Messaging section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Add to Slack">
    If a workspace is already connected, the button changes to **Add another workspace**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorize the Slack workspace">
    Jurni redirects you into Slack's install/authorization flow. Choose the intended workspace and approve the requested permissions.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Return to Jurni">
    The connected workspace now appears under the Slack integration for the current Jurni shop.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Multiple Slack workspaces

A Jurni shop can be connected to more than one Slack workspace. Each connected workspace is listed separately in **Settings → Integrations** and can have its own notification configuration.

## Shop access inside Slack

Connecting a shop to a Slack workspace makes that shop available to the Jurni Slack app, but it does **not** automatically give every person in the workspace permission to all shop data.

Individual users connect/authenticate their own Jurni access when required. Shop access is managed from the Jurni App Home in Slack, and Jurni still enforces the user's underlying product access.

## Disconnect a workspace

In **Settings → Integrations**, open the menu beside a connected Slack workspace and choose **Disconnect**.

Disconnecting removes that shop from the workspace. People in that Slack workspace will no longer be able to work with the shop's data through Jurni.

<Info>
  If you only want to stop automated performance reports, do not disconnect Slack. Disable or edit the report subscription instead.
</Info>

## Configure performance reports

After Slack is connected, configure reporting for each workspace:

* choose a Slack channel
* enable **Daily report** and/or **Weekly report**
* set the send time and timezone
* choose the weekday for weekly reports
* send a test message before relying on the schedule

## Slack Connect / external channels

Jurni detects Slack Connect channels that may include people outside your workspace. Before sending shop metrics to an external channel, Jurni requires an explicit acknowledgement.

<Warning>
  Only send performance reports to a Slack Connect channel when everyone with access to that channel is allowed to see the shop's performance data.
</Warning>

## Troubleshooting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="I cannot install or disconnect Slack">
    Confirm your Jurni role/permissions allow Slack management and that Slack permits you to install apps in the target workspace.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Slack is connected but no reports are being sent">
    Connection alone does not create a report subscription. Open the Slack notification settings and confirm a channel and Daily/Weekly schedule are enabled.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I need to connect a second workspace">
    Open the Slack integration and select **Add another workspace**. Existing workspace connections remain intact.
  </Accordion>
