# Samples Offers

> Offer shoppers a configurable set of sample products after they reach a minimum order amount.

A **Samples** offer lets shoppers choose from a list of sample products after their cart reaches a minimum amount. These instructions apply to the supported Jurni cart for **Shopify-connected experiences**.

**Sample does not automatically mean free.** The selected products can have a price. If the campaign promises free samples, configure the corresponding product prices or discount in Shopify and test checkout.

## Set up the offer

    Open **Offers**, create an offer, and select **Samples**. Add an internal name and the intended experience scope and timing.

  <Step title="Choose Sample products">
    Select the real products customers should be able to choose. Make sure they are available in the connected catalog.

  <Step title="Set the selection limit">
    In **How many samples can customers choose?**, enter the maximum number of samples a shopper can select.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the qualifying amount">
    Enter **Minimum order amount to unlock samples**. Qualification uses the cart subtotal excluding sample items. Check the currency shown for the threshold.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save and test">
    Save the offer. Open an included published experience, qualify for samples, select them, and inspect the final products and prices in cart and checkout.

## Example

To let shoppers choose up to two samples after spending \$60, select the available sample products, set the selection limit to **2**, and set the qualifying amount to **60** in the intended currency.

Check that a cart below the threshold does not unlock the offer, a qualifying cart does, and shoppers cannot select more than the intended limit. Sample items should not themselves make the qualifying subtotal reach \$60.

## Samples or Gift with Purchase?

Use **Samples** for an optional choice from a sample list with a selection limit. Use [Gift with Purchase](/building-funnels/gift-with-purchase) for a specified gift, a choice of gifts, or automatic gifts tied to the supported qualifying conditions.

## Other carts and publishing methods

A sample selector in Jurni's cart does not automatically appear in a Shopify theme cart or Rebuy. Confirm that flow before switching a campaign to Shopify Pages. For headless or non-Shopify stores, contact the Jurni team about the purchase implementation.
