# Add or Sync New Shopify Products to Jurni

> Learn how Shopify products become available in Jurni and what to check when a new product is missing from the product selector.

Create and maintain Shopify products in **Shopify**, then use them through the connected catalogue in Jurni. You do not normally need to create a second catalogue product in Jurni.

## Make the product available

<Steps>
  <Step title="Prepare the Shopify product">
    Configure the actual product, variants, prices, inventory, and subscription plans. Check that it is not archived or deleted.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check Online Store availability">
    Make the product available to the **Online Store** sales channel. A product can use Shopify's **Unlisted** status for a dedicated campaign while remaining available through that channel; it does not have to appear in your navigation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check Jurni's catalogue scope">
    Open **Products → Manage products** in Jurni and confirm your saved collections, tags, and status scope includes the item. In the product list, also check the current search and status filters.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the product on your page">
    Return to the editor's product picker, refresh if necessary, and select the real product. Check the variants and purchase types before publishing.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## When the product is still missing

Confirm the connected Shopify store and product link, then review channel availability and [catalogue scope](/products/catalog-visibility). If it was just changed, refresh the product list and picker.

Contact the Jurni team with the Shopify product link and the affected Jurni shop/page when it remains unavailable. Do not create a duplicate Shopify product just to work around an unidentified sync problem.

## What does Sync Product do?

The **Sync Product** button inside **Edit Product Data** starts a separate content-retrieval process. It is not the same as saving your product edits or changing Shopify channel availability. A message that the process started does not mean every field or purchase option has already refreshed.

Use [Product content and media](/products/content-media) for the content workflow.

## Recheck pages after catalogue changes

When a variant or selling plan is removed, recreated, or changed in Shopify, test the important pages using it. A design can continue to show an old label even when its original purchase selection is no longer valid.

For non-Shopify stores, use the catalogue connection agreed with the Jurni team rather than these Shopify channel instructions.
