# Gift With Purchase

> Set up gift-with-purchase experiences in Jurni and understand the split between adding the gift product and applying its discount in Shopify.

A **Gift with Purchase** offer adds or offers a gift when the shopper's cart qualifies. For **Shopify stores**, Jurni handles the supported gift-selection flow; the gift's actual price or discount must also be configured in Shopify.

  Adding a gift is not the same as making it free. Set up a suitable Shopify discount or a \$0 gift product, then verify the final cart and checkout. The current **Create Shopify Discount** control in the Jurni offer form is disabled.

## Before you begin

Make the gift product available to your Jurni-connected catalog and choose the correct variant. Decide which purchase qualifies, how many gifts shoppers can receive, and whether they choose a gift or receive it automatically.

## Create the offer

    Open **Offers**, create an offer, and select **Gift with Purchase**. Give it an internal name.

    Choose **Global** for eligible experiences across this Jurni shop, or select the particular experiences for the campaign. Add optional display text and start/end timing. See [Offer scope and setup](/commerce/offers-overview).

  <Step title="Choose the gift">
    **Single Gift** lets you select a product and its gift variant. **Multiple Gifts** lets you supply a list: shoppers choose one by default. Enable **Auto-add all selected gifts to cart** only when every eligible gift should be added automatically.

  <Step title="Set the qualifying condition">
    Choose **Minimum Amount**, **Minimum Products**, or **Specific Products**, then complete the fields for that condition.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save and test the purchase">
    Save the offer and open an included published experience. Qualify for the gift and check its variant, quantity, and price through checkout.

## Qualifying conditions

| Condition             | What to enter                                                                                                                                |
| --------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Minimum Amount**    | The qualifying cart amount in the currency shown. Gift items are excluded from the gift-qualification subtotal.                              |
| **Minimum Products**  | The minimum qualifying product quantity. Test the exact cart combination used by your campaign.                                              |
| **Specific Products** | A trigger product, optionally restricted to a variant and selling plan; or several trigger products, where any selected product can qualify. |

For **Specific Products**, **Purchase type** can be **All** or **Subscription only**. The gift quantity can increase with the quantity of matching trigger products. **Maximum gifts** caps it; **No maximum** removes that cap. This is separate from choosing several different gift products.

## Example: a gift with a subscription

Select the gift product and variant, choose **Specific Products**, select the qualifying product, and set **Purchase type → Subscription only**. Set the gift limit you intend. Configure the corresponding Shopify discount so the gift is free for that purchase.

Test a one-time purchase as well as a subscription. The offer should not qualify simply because the page says “subscribe”; the selected purchase needs the actual selling plan.

## Check changes to the cart

On the supported Jurni cart, gift eligibility is re-evaluated as the cart changes. Remove the qualifying product or drop below the threshold and check that the gift is handled correctly. Also test a second qualifying unit, an unavailable gift, and another market when relevant.

**Shopify Pages and third-party carts require a separate compatibility check.** Do not assume a gift picker or automatic gift handling has been added to your theme cart. For headless or non-Shopify purchase flows, agree the implementation with the Jurni team.
